2. Accounts
The software is protected by means of a login system. Only users with a valid username and password are allowed access. The remainder of this page gives more information about the sign in, sign out and registration process.
2.1. Sign in

The first time you will use the system, you are asked to sign in (Fig. 2.1). This can be done by entering a valid email address and password, and clicking the Log in button. This will redirect you to the home screen.
In case of incorrect credentials, a message Invalid login details will appear. Should you have forgotten your credentials, please consult Password forgotten for more information about resetting your password.
After signing in, you will be redirected to the Browser section.
If you do not have an account already, please consult Account Registration for more information on how to get an account.
Possible issues
If your credentials do not work, your account might not have been activated yet. Please see Account Activation for more information.
2.2. Sign out

To sign out from the system, open the User menu (Fig. 2.2) in the upper right corner of the screen and click the Log out button (Fig. 2.3). After signing out, you will be redirected to the sign in screen again.

Note
Users are automatically signed out after a longer period of inactivity.
2.3. Account Registration
Important
In order to register new user accounts, project / administrator
permission is required.

To register new users, open the Account screen by choosing Settings from the user menu (Fig. 2.4), followed by Accounts from the page menu. The following steps are required:
Enter the new user’s e-mail address in the Register a new user text field.

.Depending on the type of installation, there are two options possible:
CLOUD
An activation link is sent via email to the registered user. See Account Activation for information.BOX
Click to follow the Account Activation procedure.
Note
Accounts are added per archive. When you are in project view, you are asked to select an archive first.

In order to use a newly registered account, it needs to be activated first. This can be done by following the activation link. This will show a form on the screen (Fig. 2.5) in which the following details are required:
First name
Last name
Password (2x): The password needs to be filled in twice, to make sure no typing errors are made. When the password fields do not match, the input color will turn red. A password is required to contain at least 8 characters, one or more letters, one or more numbers and one or more special characters: (

After choosing Register, the account is ready to be used and you will see a Registration successful message. You can now sign in with the activated account.
Important
User activation links have to be used within 48 hours. After 48 hours the user activation link will become invalid and a new activation link is required.
2.5. Password forgotten

If you have forgotten your password. There is always an option in the login screen to send a password reset link to the e-mail address that you have registered with. The reset form (Fig. 2.6) requires the following details:

After choosing Reset, the password is changed and you can sign in Sign in with the new password.
