5. Upload
The upload page can be used to upload images to a project/archive to be processed by CAD4TB. This page can be used to upload single or multiple cases, and supports the upload of DICOM and image files (.png, .jpg, .jpeg) It is accessible via the menu bar and the page consists of an optional Pseudonymization (for DICOM files), a file dropzone and submit/clear form buttons.

5.1. Pseudonymization
If uploading a dicom image, all patient identifiable information can be removed (with automated UIDs kept). This can be done by clicking the checkbox labeled “Would you like your data to be anonymised?”. An input box to enter a replacement Patient ID is then displayed and you can enter a substitute patient ID. This patient ID will be used before upload as a replacement for the patientID field in the dicom.
Note
This replacement is done in the browser before the dicom is uploaded.

5.2. Uploading
To upload images, click on the dropzone to select files from the system and/or drag files into the dropzone from a folder. The files will appear in the dropzone as shown in Fig. 5.3.

Fig. 5.3 Upload Page - Submit and Clear Buttons
Files can be uploaded by clicking on (A) Submit Case. Upon clicking this button, a quality check and any optional anonymization will be done and a pop-up screen will be shown on the page showing the progress of uploads. Upon completion, the pop-up will be dismissed, and an indicator at the top of the page will display whether all uploads succeeded or failed. Any failed uploads will also have indicators in the drop zone, which, when hovered over, will display the reason for the failure occurring.
Clicking on (B) Clear Form will refresh the form so that new cases can be uploaded.
Important
Limiting your filenames to only include alphanumeric characters, dashes and underscores is highly encouraged. Characters other then these (e.g. spaces, parentheses) will be removed/replaced by the application to create a cleaner filename and this might cause inconsistencies between input/output filenames.
